Step by Step

The Anand Process.

Six carefully managed stages transforming rough earth into certified, brilliant-cut diamonds ready for the international market.

  1. Mine-Direct Rough Procurement

We source parcels directly from licensed primary mines in Botswana, Russia, and Canada — avoiding secondary markets that obscure provenance. Each parcel arrives with a Kimberley Process Conflict-Free Certificate and full chain-of-custody documentation.

  2. Internal Grading & Selection

Every stone passes through our on-site grading room. Our senior gemologists sort by colour (D–Z), clarity (FL–I3), and rough crystal quality. Stones that do not meet our internal thresholds — which exceed GIA minimums — are returned or auctioned off the primary line.

  3. 3D Laser Planning

Selected rough stones are scanned using Sarin and OGI Systems technology, generating exact 3D crystal models. Our planning software calculates the optimal cut that maximises retained carat weight while achieving the highest possible light performance grade. Each plan is reviewed by a senior lapidary before approval.

  4. Cleaving & Bruting

Following plan approval, stones are cleaved or laser-sawn along crystallographic planes. The girdle is then formed by computer-controlled bruting machines, creating the circular profile required for brilliant cuts — or the precise outlines for step and mixed cuts.

  5. Facet Polishing

Our master polishers work each stone across spinning iron scaife wheels charged with diamond dust, placing every facet to within .01 symmetry tolerances. Table, crown, pavilion, and girdle facets are polished individually, with inter-stage quality checks at each station.

  6. Certification & Secure Export

Finished stones are submitted to GIA, IGI, or HRD for independent grading. Once certified, each diamond is packaged in tamper-evident security pouches, insured for full replacement value, and shipped via our bonded carrier network with real-time tracking. Complete customs documentation is provided for every destination country.
